On February 6th, our group, comprised of Junie Michel, Alex Orfinger, Kerry Paddock, Billy Pratsch, and Sarah Reichel, traveled to Blue Spring State Park. For this field trip, our main objectives were to observe the West Indian Manatee population, to conduct a water quality experiment, to survey guests, and to learn about the economics, history, politics, human impact, endangered species, and invasive species related to Blue Spring. While touring the park, we were also able to converse with a friendly ranger (who asked to remain anonymous). Between our observations, experiments, conversation with the ranger, and additional research, we were able to learn a great deal about this beautiful park. We have compiled our findings into this website. We hope you enjoy it!
